The Wisconsin Union Theater, nestled right on the edge of campus, isn’t just a pretty face, it’s a vibrant hub for live music and cultural exchange that’s been shaping Madison’s arts scene for nearly a century. In 2018, it celebrated its ninety-ninth year, a testament to its enduring place in the community. Over the years, it’s hosted legendary performances, like the unforgettable night when Van Cliburn graced the stage back in 1980, leaving concertgoers in awe. Today, the theater continues to be a cornerstone for arts education, partnering with local schools and organizations to keep the arts alive and thriving.
